NPCI Complaint – UPI Complaint, Wrong Transaction & Refund Solution

The filing of the NPCI complaint is an essential procedure by which users can address problems such as UPI complaint issues, failed transactions, pending transactions, erroneous UPI transactions, and refunds. In the present digital India, the UPI mode of payment has been recognized as the fastest and most secure mode of payment. However, in some cases, the payment may not reflect in the payee's account or the money has been sent to the wrong account due to technical issues, server problems, or wrong information. In such cases, immediate action is required. If the money has already been deducted from your account but has not been received by the payee, then this is called a "failed transaction," in which the refund is automatically sent within 3 to 5 working days. If your money has been sent to some other account by mistake, then this is called an "erroneous UPI transaction," in which it is of prime importance to file a complaint.

In order to file a complaint for UPI, you need to first open your UPI app, such as PhonePe, Google Pay, or Paytm, and then click on your transaction history to select the specific transaction for which you want to file the complaint. After that, you can file your complaint by clicking on the "Help" option. Once you have filed your complaint, you will receive a reference number. It is very important to save your reference number because it will help you track your complaint. The NPCI does not have a system for resolving user complaints. Instead, the banks help in resolving the issues. So, in order to file your complaint, you should always contact your bank.

If you have not received a UPI refund or if a payment is pending, you should lodge a complaint right away. Immediate action is also required if a case of fraud or scam is involved.
